“The Church and the world have a great need for Eucharistic worship. Jesus awaits us in this sacrament of love…”
(CCC 1380, quoting St John Paul II, Dominicae Cenae)
The Adoration Chapel will re-open on Tuesday, 20 January.
📜 Unclaimed Certificates
To those who have made their First Holy Communions or were Confirmed over the past number of years and have not yet collected their certificates and/or videos:
Please collect these from the parish office from the end of January 2026.
These certificates are important records of your faith formation journey and will be required for marriage preparation in the future.
🗓️ Meetings at the Parish
As we move into 2026, all parish groups and ministries are asked to submit their prospective meeting dates to the parish office.
This is to:
- prevent double bookings,
- facilitate the priests’ diaries, and
- ensure proper security on parish property.
✍️ Holy Graffiti
We write with blessed chalk above the door:
20 + C + M + B + 26
…while praying:
“Visit, O blessed Lord, this home with the gladness of your presence. Bless all who live or visit here with the gift of your love; and grant that we may manifest your love to each other and to all whose lives we touch. May we grow in grace and in the knowledge and love of you; guide, comfort, and strengthen us in peace, O Jesus Christ, now and forever. Amen.”
🎒 Prayer for a New School Year
God of wisdom and might, we praise you for the wonder of our being, for mind, body, and spirit. Be with our children as they begin a new school year. Bless them and their teachers and staff. Give them strength and grace as their bodies grow; wisdom and knowledge of mind as they search for understanding; and peace and zeal in their hearts. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
🕯️ Mass Intentions
Please notify the office before 10:00 am on the Thursday before.
Mass stipends are R50.
