This weekend (7 & 8 February) we celebrate the Solemnity of Our Lady of the Flight into Egypt, Patronal Feast of the Archdiocese of Cape Town. - Second Collection (This Weekend):
The second collection is for PMS Holy Childhood. - Monthly Food Parcels:
The St Francis Society for the Poor requests Peanut Butter and/or Jam. - Altar Servers:
Any young people interested in becoming altar servers are invited to join.

Training will take place on Saturday, 14 February at 9:00 am in the church. - Southern Cross:
The February edition of The Southern Cross is available.
Please collect your reserved copy. Extra copies are available at R40 each. - Baptisms:
The first Baptisms of the year will take place on Saturday, 28 February.
Interviews: Tuesday, 10 February, at the Presbytery from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
Instruction Sessions: Thursdays, 19 & 26 February. - Women’s World Day of Prayer:
Will take place on 6 March here at Immaculate Conception.
Posters and further information will follow in due course. - Pancakes & Malasadas:
Everyone is invited to enjoy Pancakes & Malasadas on Tuesday, 17 February at 6:00 pm in the St Pio Centre. - To the Working Committee:
Mix Night will take place on Monday, 16 February at 6:00 pm.
🌍 World Day of the Sick – 11 February 2026
The theme chosen by Pope Leo XIV is:
“The compassion of the Samaritan: loving by bearing another’s pain.”
To celebrate our love for neighbour and care for the sick, parishioners are encouraged to bring those in need to Mass on the weekend of 14 & 15 February.
There will be an opportunity for Anointing of the Sick at all the Masses that weekend.
🎂 Fundraising
- The committee thanks everyone who supported the Cake Sale last weekend.
- The Valentine’s Day Dance will take place on Saturday, 14 February in the St Pio Centre.
🎟️ Tickets cost R120 and are available from committee members.
Please note that there has been a change of date.
🌿 Palm Crosses
Parishioners are reminded to please bring all palm crosses from previous Palm Sunday celebrations by 15 February, so that they may be prepared in time for Ash Wednesday.
Collection boxes will be placed at the church entrances.

🛡️ Parish Child Safeguarding Officer
The Child Safeguarding Policy ensures that our parish remains a safe environment for children and vulnerable persons.
We are pleased to welcome Micalle Combrink as the new Parish Child Safeguarding Officer, continuing the excellent work done by Gerard Jansen van Rensburg.
We commend Gerard for his dedication and thank him for the strong foundation he has laid.
Our parish is among the top three in the diocese in terms of compliance with the Child Safeguarding Policy.
We pray that God will bless both Gerard and Micalle in the next chapters of service to our parish.
